Papa John’s New Restaurant Strategy

Categories: General
By Ryan Knoll on February 7, 2006 @ 4:46 pm

Papa Johns is building “restaurant” style stores. Good idea.

I still don’t understand why there are virtually no drive thru by-the-slice pizza franchises. There are plenty by-the-slice franchises in malls, but not stand-alones with drive thrus.

I have seen few, if any, drive through pizza joints. Weird….

How much extra staff will these require? I’m guessing maybe one to clean up. Probably worth it.

Papa Johns is a lot more regional that I thought. I was talking to some friends on the east coast and they vaguely heard of Papa Johns.

Put it this way, its all about making money. If you did a drive through establishment it means a much larger sq. footage area for the est
blishment, not the store perse, but the area required to accomodate all those cars (if it works). You can run delivery joints out of real
small store fronts and the only parking you really need is for your drivers. This saves BIG money. Enuff said
