How to Analyze An Earnings Claims

Michael Webster at his spectacular blog Misleading Advertising Law has an interesting post in his Due Diligence Archives on Arbonne – How Much Money Can You Make?

He walks through the income and statistical analysis of whether this opportunity is worth giving up your current job from a financial perspective. Kudos to Arbonne for providing a seemingly honest earnings claim, despite the chances of earning an acceptable rate per hour being low.

  1. Ryan,

    Thank-you for your kind remarks.

Most network marketing opportunities have the same earnings profile as Arbonne.

But Arbonne has decided that even when prospectives know about their expected earnings, they may be intrigued or fascinated, like a moth to light, with size of the reward and discount its probability.

I feel you are trying to give the entire industry a bad rap and frankly, that’s just not fair! The jury is in and network marketing DOES work IF you do it right and get the correct training necessary, however, most fail because they have no idea how to sell “correctly” in this industry and lead with their ego’s. They likewise have no real “plan of action” and so they fall off after the hype wears off. I’ve seen it time and time again, but then again 98% of the population is dead or dead broke by the age of 65 never having achieved their dreams and goals, while 2% are successful financially and are living their dream! The difference…. The 2% THINK differently than the other 98%. Instead of making excuses as to why they CAN’T do something and finding every reason why something just WON’T work(like the 98%), the 2% FIND A WAY and say WHY NOT? Let me give it my BEST shot!

What decision will YOU make? Will YOU make excuses or will you FIND A WAY no matter what you do in life?
