I love comparables.   The average unit sales were higher than I expected:

Wingstop has 465 restaurants around the country, with most in Texas, California, Florida and Louisiana. The chain does about 80% of its business in takeout orders and averages $770,000 in annual sales per restaurant, Mr. Evans said.

The chain sells 10 wings for around $6.30 in the Chicago area. Popular flavors include original hot, lemon pepper and hickory barbecue.

Anyone who considers this as a prospect would be well advised to the old UFOC and compare to the current FDD. Take good look at those earning estimates in the old UFOC and the build out costs as well as the number of units.

The most important focus for a franchisee should be ‘how much am I going to have to invest into this franchise model, and how long will it take me to get into the ‘green’?’. A franchise having more units doesn’t necessarily mean anything because larger franchise ‘models’ also started small once and look at a ‘larger’ franchise like Quiznos.
